That’s what the phone calendar will read for a month on my new love (to replace the touch screen phone that won’t light up, which I have since traded in for SGD 50. But more on that later.)
You read it right, I am on a temp hiatus! Which means I prolly don’t have much to blog about, except I have finally gotten myself a new phone after a good 5 years! And while we are at that, it is NOT a Samsung anymore, it’s a pretty Nokia E71!
Fang kindly suggested they could reimburse my new phone to replace the old cranky as an early birthday gift which to me, was really timely because with a touch screen phone that doesn’t light up it is just like having a dumb bell pretending to be a phone. Totally irritating!

Also, in response to Ying’s pleas to update this forsaken ground, I reckon she must either be very bored at work, or simply miss me too much. Some quick updates. Yes friends, I have started my break 3 days earlier than planned because of the H1N1 flu scare. The story began with me meeting Sze Hui (SH) for lunch last Wed (and sharing a drink at that), and a nervy SMS sent to me on Thu late night. The SMS from Sze Hui informed that her colleague who recently came back from the States/Manila is one of the new confirmed swine flu case.
!!!
You cannot imagine how “lucky” I felt at that point; during the lunch, SH & I we were deliberating and weighing the probability of that particular colleague getting swine flu. And there, on Thu night, I received her SMS. If I am also this lucky with 4D.
Anyhow, this “newsflash” was duly reported to boss who in a matter of minutes told me to go home and have an early break (i.e, self-quarantine; I was on the bus to work!)
Fret not though, SH is “safe”, no fever, no cough, and no flu, so am I! This self-quarantine is solely an act of “public responsibility” on our end! No cause for worry 
To kickstart this much-awaited (and earlier than planned) break, I have thrown myself in front of the TV & PC, catching up on many missed shows/ books, exploring my new love, constantly day dreaming about going to TW during this short break, and joining Twitter! Yes, I tweet now too!
And yes yes yes, I wanna jet off to Taiwan, alone, like now! I have almost everything ready, from passport, luggage, clothes, a holiday-hungry mind, to a phone with WIFI (so I can tweet at whim!), everything except the moolahs! 
I have even mapped out which budget airline and which hotels to choose from for accomodation, what to do, where to visit, and how to not overspend!
To be honest, I have not sorted out any thoughts re work, been bogged down by the overflowing TW thoughts… Heh.
Anyhow, am gonna hit the pool before that, get some tanning done and hopefully a stronger mind! The pool is where I like to free my mind of warped thoughts and mindless thinking, so friends, call me out while I’m still in Sg (assuming I get to leave the country!)
