I should be working on my quotation, actually

‘Twenty one’ was great. ‘Cept the loonnnngg wait prior the show, too many commercials from GV. Tsktsk.

The plot’s intriguing. Jim Sturgess is cute. Kate Bosworth is hawt. And Aaron Yoo is funny (so is Josh Gad, actually.) They make it bearable that the movie was a tad draggy.

Ying and I had an absolutely enjoyable two hours gawking and squealing at Jim Sturgess’ leading role as Ben Campbell – geeky boring MIT Math genius turned multi-persona card-counting whiz (at where else but Vegas; BLACKJACK!!)

Tell me – Is he CUTE or not?!

I am going to start learning card-counting from now on; prep myself for some big winnings next CNY – Ban Luck!! Ban Ban!! Gor Leng!!

Meng, watch out! Peanut-structures will help you no more!
Behold the next BlackJack Queen! :D

Have you ever watched this? I’m always lagging behind, I know. Storyline revolves around a Chicago man (stars Kyle Chandler as Gary Hobson) who myseriously receives tomorrow’s papers every morning, accompanied by the orange tabby cat above.

Basically, Gary and his two friends make use of the “future” info to try prevent tragedies from occuring. Co-starring Shanesia Davis-Williams (Gary’s blind receptionist friend) and Fisher Stevens (his former fellow stockbroker cum best friend), Early Edition premiered on CBS nearly twelve years ago in 1996, and I only recently caught it on AXN.

Dig the idea behind the show, and my family’s so captivated by it they literally stuck by the TV to watch it every weeknights!

Also… I heard Friday Night Lights (also starring Kyle Chandler) is another critically acclaimed show that first aired two years ago – I know, am still lagging behind time. Am going to try catching it on Star World, as it is, I already missed quite a few episodes!

I stumbled upon this (great) blog some time ago whilst researching for my presentation.

Beth is the writer, and mum of two really cute kids (who are barely twelve mths apart in age? I think.) She suffered a devastating loss of her other twin boys in her belly a few mths before expected delivery; and reading her grief-stricken entries about her longing and regrets she will have for the rest of her life makes me feel as if I do understand her pain, her loss, her grief.

Yet, I think I won’t really know what’s she going through, the extent of pain and loss she has to go through, etc. How can we ever, right?

Her writing touches and inspires me. I hope I can be strong too, if not stronger, in a way or another. Of course, there are also upbeat entries such as working from home, her online business, friendship/family, moving woes, beautiful pictures of her kids, her new home, etc. And she gets other writers/friends to guest post on her blog (when she’s busy)! P.S The entry titled ‘Expiration Date’ made me bawled my eyes out for her. P.P.S No, I am not a stalker. I appreciate her writing, that’s all!

Who wants to guest post on my wordpress, I think I’ll be too busy to blog regularly soon!
