I’m struggling to finish this book by J.D Salinger.
It’s not an easy read for me; the narrator is such a negative and depressed person it’s affecting me. Quoting him, it killed me. I can’t derive any other conclusions from reading this book except that the subject in the book is so so negative, and that I don’t wanna be like him.
I still have MANY books in line for my reading; have just laid my hands on A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, as well as Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. At the same time, I am still holding on to Regina’s copy of The Time Traveller’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, and also Ting’s The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho & Chronicle of a Blood Merchant by Yu Hua.
On top of all that, I wanna get this:
The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Habits by Stephen R. Covey
I like reading, it’s when I can throw back whatever problems I have and immerse in the storyline and emotions of the characters. And I think I need motivational and self-improvement books even more so now!
Side note, I like to read Harry Potter. About time to start reading the series from volume one again!
(Am having difficulty uploading pictures of late, any idea why?)
