After another agonised run-in with one half of The Twins the other day (it’s getting SO routine), a thought drifted into my mind..
Me: “Is she over-passionate, or are we less than professional these days?”
Spin (hems and haws): “… … umm, the former?” (continues to hem and haw, complete with an awkward laughter)
Hmm. Definitely thought-provoking.
Random people at work have been taking their turns to breathe down our necks of late. And this, has incidentally forged an even stronger “alliance” amongst us few.
Apart from the obvious air of tension (and awkwardness), we have also grown accustomed to giving those people “endearing” nicks

Was chatting with CP on MSN, and he told me how he thinks I should look forward and move on (he thinks I’m still stuck in the whirlpool of memories)
Contrary to what he thinks, I have long passed that stage; occasional “slush” notwithstanding!
Me: “We don’t even know each other that well. How can he be so sure?”
CP: “And how will you find out if you don’t give him* that chance?” (*not referring to himself)
Indeed. You may be right, but I am in a state of sedation now. I do not want to go through that again, for now at least. Or perhaps, not with him.
Only time will tell. Till then, my friendship shall suffice. What’s your say?

Why the defensiveness? Like what you said, it was an insinuation; but by retaliating, you are merely admitting to your own doings! Perfect scenario of ”对号入座”.
I am quite the diplomat.
Not.
